This is a spec hub, not a hands-on review. We have not lab-tested or lived with these units. Capacities, outputs, solar limits, weights, and cycle claims below come from manufacturer spec pages (and, where the maker’s table is silent, from the live Amazon.com title). Amazon.com listings were checked as live U.S. product pages on August 25, 2026. Re-open any listing before you buy — stock and titles change.
A “solar generator” in this class is a portable power station: a lithium battery, an inverter, and a solar charge controller in one box. Plug in a fridge, a CPAP, laptop chargers, or a few lights. Add compatible solar panels if you want to recharge off-grid. None of the six units here is a whole-house backup system, and none of them outputs 240 V split-phase for a well pump or central air.
The lineup is six current-generation LiFePO4 (LFP) stations with a verified U.S. Amazon listing the same day. Three sit around 1 kWh. One is a small 245 Wh pack. Two are ~2 kWh boxes — one lightweight and sealed, one heavier and expandable with the highest solar-input ceiling in the group.

Best overall (~1 kWh): EcoFlow DELTA 3

If you want one ~1 kWh box for camping, a short outage, and a mix of AC plus USB-C, the DELTA 3 is the most complete mid-size option in this hub. EcoFlow’s U.S. spec table lists 1024 Wh, 1800 W continuous AC (six outlets), a 3600 W surge, and X-Boost up to 2200 W. Solar input tops out at 500 W. The pack is LFP, rated 4000 cycles to 80+%, with a claimed <10 ms UPS transfer and expansion to 5 kWh using extra EcoFlow batteries. Weight is about 27.6 lb (12.5 kg). (EcoFlow DELTA 3 specs)
That is still a camping-and-essentials battery, not a house. ~1 kWh will not cover multi-day fridge plus HVAC, and 1800 W / 120 V will not run a 240 V well pump or central air.

Best compact high output: Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2

Among the ~1 kWh units, C1000 Gen 2 (model A1763) is the compact high-output pick: 1,024 Wh, 2,000 W continuous AC, and the highest solar-input ceiling in this size class at 600 W max. It is also the lightest of the three 1 kWh boxes at 24.9 lb. Anker claims a full charge in 49 minutes via 1,600 W UltraFast AC (1,200 W is the standard AC-charge figure). UPS transfer is listed at 10 ms. (Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2; A1763 user guide)
Two numbers you should not mash together: the product page and Amazon title list a 3,000 W peak; the user guide separately lists SurgePad up to 2,400 W. Those are different claims. This page cites both and does not pick a winner.
Chemistry: the Amazon title states LiFePO4. The manufacturer spec tables we fetched did not print the word “LiFePO4.” Treat it as Amazon-title chemistry plus Anker’s 4,000 cycles to ≥80% claim, not as a printed manufacturer chemistry line.
It is not expandable. Anker’s comparison table lists Expandable Capacity = No for C1000 Gen 2 (the original C1000 is the Yes). The same product page also offers a bundle named “Anker SOLIX C1000 + Expansion Battery” without “Gen 2” in that option name — that is the original expandable C1000 upsell, not evidence that Gen 2 takes extra batteries. ~1 kWh is therefore a hard ceiling, and it is short for multi-day home backup.

Best LiFePO4 value: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2

Jackery’s Explorer 1000 v2 is the value ~1 kWh LiFePO4 station: 1070 Wh, 1500 W continuous / 3000 W surge, and about 23.8 lb. That is the lightest of the three 1 kWh picks, with a slightly higher nameplate capacity than DELTA 3 or C1000 Gen 2. Trade-offs are real: AC and solar headroom are lower (solar max is 400 W), the cycle rating is 4000 cycles to 70%+ — not 80% — and there is no extra-battery path. UPS transfer is ≤20 ms. Do not copy EcoFlow/Anker “to 80%” wording onto this pack. Jackery publishes 70%+. The Amazon listing also notes solar panel optional — panels are not in the box.

Best small / budget: EcoFlow RIVER 3

RIVER 3 is the small, current-generation LFP pack we could verify on a live U.S. Amazon listing. Use the manufacturer numbers: 245 Wh capacity and 300 W continuous AC — not the Amazon title’s “245W 550W,” which garbles units. Surge / X-Boost is listed at 600 W, with two AC outlets. Solar input is only 110 W. It weighs 7.8 lb, charges from AC at 320 W (claimed 0–100% in 60 minutes), and is rated 3000 cycles to 80% with <20 ms UPS transfer. The pack rating is IP54. 245 Wh will not run a household fridge or an all-night humidifier CPAP, and a 300 W inverter will not start many appliances. This is phones, a laptop via USB-C, a small fan, camera batteries — not outage coverage for the kitchen. EcoFlow’s own U.S. store has shown sold out / coming soon while Amazon still listed Add to Cart, so availability can flip.

Best lightweight 2 kWh: Jackery Explorer 2000 v2

Explorer 2000 v2 is the lighter of the two ~2 kWh stations: 2042 Wh, 2200 W continuous / 4400 W surge, LiFePO4, about 39.5 lb. That is a lot more energy than the 1 kWh class without jumping to the 62 lb BLUETTI. Jackery’s FAQ says it is not expandable. Solar input is the same 400 W max (dual DC 8 mm) as the 1000 v2 — so you get more battery than the 1 kWh Jackery, not a bigger solar ceiling. Cycle rating is again 4000 cycles to 70%+. Caveats: it is heavy compared with the 1 kWh units, 400 W of solar is modest for a 2 kWh pack, and you cannot grow it with extra batteries. The Amazon title flags solar panel as optional.

Best home backup / solar input: BLUETTI AC200L

AC200L is the home-backup pick in this hub: 2048 Wh, 2400 W continuous AC, a NEMA TT-30 (120 V / 30 A) outlet plus four 20 A outlets, and the highest solar-input ceiling here at 1200 W (VOC 12–145 VDC, 15 A). Power Lifting is listed at 3600 W. Expandability is the other reason it sits in this slot: BLUETTI claims 2×B210 = 6348 Wh, 1×B230 = 4096 Wh, or 2×B300 = 8192 Wh. AC input is 2400 W, with a claimed 0–80% in 45 minutes. Chemistry is LiFePO4. Cycle rating is 3000+ cycles to 80%. UPS transfer is 20 ms (FAQ — not 10 ms). Pass-through charging is listed as yes. Surge figures conflict on BLUETTI’s own pages. pages/ac200l lists 7200 W surge; the solar-generator-ac200l Specs table lists 4800 W. This hub cites both and does not pick one. If surge headroom matters for a motor start, confirm the current spec sheet — do not assume either number.
Weight on the Specs table is 62.4 lb / 28.3 kg (a comparison table on the same site listed 61.6 lb; use the Specs figure). At ~62 lb it is not grab-and-go. It has no 240 V split-phase, and expansion uses proprietary BLUETTI batteries.

How to size a portable power station
Two different numbers get marketed as if they were the same:
- W (watts) is instantaneous power — what the inverter can deliver right now. Can this run a 1500 W space heater?
- Wh (watt-hours) is stored energy — how long it can deliver that power. A 1000 Wh pack at 100 W is about 10 hours before inefficiencies.
U.S. Department of Energy Energy Saver material uses the same arithmetic: a 100 W bulb × 10 hours = 1,000 Wh = 1 kWh. Daily energy is (wattage × hours used per day) ÷ 1000 = daily kWh. (Energy.gov Electric Meters; Energy.gov Estimating Appliance and Home Electronic Energy Use)
Inverter and round-trip losses mean usable AC energy is less than the nameplate Wh. Size up, and do not plan as if 1024 Wh of battery is 1024 Wh at the wall outlet.
Fridge
A DOE FEMP ENERGY STAR refrigerator example is 363.5 kWh/year ≈ 1.0 kWh/day. (DOE FEMP residential refrigerators) An ORNL / DOE BTO peer-review PDF puts a representative U.S. fridge at 1.5–2.0 kWh/day, with a tested Samsung at 1.68 kWh/day. (ORNL / DOE BTO PDF)
Using those named kWh/day figures only: a ~1 kWh station (DELTA 3, C1000 Gen 2, Explorer 1000 v2) is roughly one efficient-fridge-day if nothing else is running. A ~2 kWh station (Explorer 2000 v2, AC200L) is closer to one typical older-fridge day. Inverter losses and compressor surge are not included in that arithmetic. A 245 Wh RIVER 3 is not a fridge battery.
CPAP
ResMed’s AirSense 11 user guide (Americas) lists a 65 W adaptor, typical 56.1 W, and peak 73.2 W. (ResMed AirSense 11 user guide) Eight hours at 56.1 W is about 449 Wh. Humidifier / heated-tube use is often higher; 73.2 W × 8 h is about 586 Wh.
RIVER 3 (245 Wh) cannot cover a typical 8-hour AirSense 11 night at the guide’s typical watts. The ~1 kWh class can, with margin, if AC output and UPS transfer match the machine.
Laptop
EnergySage puts laptops around 30–70 W. (EnergySage) Eight hours at 50 W is about 400 Wh. USB-C PD (100–140 W ports on several units above) is often more efficient than inverting to AC and back through a brick.
Add up the loads you actually care about, then buy the next size up. If you need a 240 V well pump or central air, none of these six boxes is the tool — see the notes below.
Practical notes
These are 120 V stations. None of them is 240 V split-phase.
Every unit here inverts to household 120 V. The BLUETTI AC200L adds a 30 A TT-30 RV outlet, still 120 V, and BLUETTI states no 240 V split-phase. EcoFlow’s 1800 W / 120 V DELTA 3 will not run a 240 V well pump or central air. If your backup job is a 240 V compressor, you need a different class of equipment than a portable power station in this list.
Solar panels are sold separately
Jackery’s Amazon titles for both Explorer models say solar panel optional. The other four listings are power stations, not kits. The station’s MPPT / solar-input ceiling is the most the unit will accept:

A 400 W-max station will clip a 600 W array. Panel STC watts are not what the station gets — angle, temperature, wire, Voc/Isc limits, and clouds all cut output. Jackery’s own product FAQ treats a “200 W panel” figure as a lab figure. Do not treat kit marketing watts as field output. Match panel Voc and current to the station’s input window (for example DELTA 3 is DC 11–60 V; AC200L is VOC 12–145 VDC, 15 A; C1000 Gen 2’s live table splits 11–28 V and 29–60 V ranges).
LiFePO4 cycle ratings are not interchangeable
All six listings are marketed as LiFePO4 / LFP (Anker via Amazon title + cycle claim, as noted above). Do not flatten the cycle lines:
- EcoFlow DELTA 3: 4000 cycles to 80+%
- Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2: 4,000 cycles to ≥80%
- Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 and 2000 v2: 4000 cycles to 70%+
- EcoFlow RIVER 3: 3000 cycles to 80%
- BLUETTI AC200L: 3000+ cycles to 80%
Jackery’s 70%+ end-of-test is not the same claim as EcoFlow/Anker 80%. NMC packs from the early portable-power-station era were typically lighter for the same Wh with shorter published cycle life; none of these six verified 2026 listings are documented here as NMC. UPS transfer times, if you care about a running fridge or CPAP
Claimed transfer: DELTA 3 <10 ms; C1000 Gen 2 10 ms; Explorer 1000 v2 ≤20 ms; RIVER 3 and Explorer 2000 v2 <20 ms; AC200L 20 ms. Those are manufacturer figures, not measurements from this site. A CPAP or fridge that rides through a 10–20 ms blip on paper may still complain in the field — check the appliance manual.
Expandable vs sealed
Only two of the six can grow: DELTA 3 (claimed to 5 kWh with EcoFlow extra batteries) and AC200L (claimed to 8192 Wh with BLUETTI B300 pair, or less with B210 / B230). C1000 Gen 2, both Jackerys, and RIVER 3 are sealed. Extra batteries are brand-specific and sold separately.
